Hi, I'm E.T.
I’m a clinical social worker and certified sex therapist providing individual and relationship therapy in Michigan and Illinois.
My work focuses on sexuality and gender, relationships and non-monogamy, trauma, anxiety, grief, neurodivergence, chronic illness and disability, and major life transitions. I also provide clinical supervision, consultation, workshops, and organizational training.
My approach is collaborative, relational, and grounded in somatic and parts-based work. I’m interested not only in what someone is struggling with, but in how their experiences make sense in the context of their relationships, identities, communities, bodies, and the larger systems they live within.
Therapy with me can include slowing down and noticing what is happening beneath the surface, understanding patterns with curiosity, building concrete skills, and experimenting with new ways of relating to yourself and others.
I came to this work through a longstanding interest in the body, mindfulness, caregiving, sexuality, and the ways people find connection and meaning in difficult circumstances.
What has kept me here is the privilege of being invited into people’s stories—the painful ones, certainly, but also stories of pleasure, humor, identity, creativity, resistance, and change.
I value creating a space where people can bring the complicated and sometimes contradictory parts of themselves without having to make those parts more palatable first.
